Abstract

This project aims to synthesize, considering the extent possible to a scientific initiation, the ecological dimension of Lévi-Strauss's thought, which expresses itself in that author's reflections and on his efforts to understand and systematize the mythical and amerindian thoughts. From that approach, we aim to investigate part of the bibliography actually produced about the Anthropocene to comprehend dialogue possibilities with it, specifically concerning the way conceptual pairs like nature-culture, subject-object, humans-world, humans and non-humans, and also the classical correspondences established between them, are being questioned today. We seek, with that effort, to prove that the proposed connections contribute to the task imposed by the Anthropocene to rethink the way we define and put in relation humanity and the world.
