Abstract

This scientific initiation research project aims to understand how social markers of race, class, gender, sexuality, age, geographic location, ability and others intersect in the production of violence and discrimination at school, as well as to cooperate in the construction of strategies collective efforts to tackle this social problem. The theoretical-methodological foundations come from or are related to the field of Critical Social Psychology. A conception of science as a social action is assumed, from which the aim is to carry out qualitative research on two articulated fronts: literature review and field research. The first will be carried out through a bibliographic survey, while the second will involve interviews, document analysis and focus group meetings. The data will be analyzed through content analysis and the thematic axes created will be integrated by data associated by the relationship of meanings. It is expected that the results, to be achieved, will lead to an expansion of critical understanding of the problem in question and contribute to the construction of alternatives to combat the oppressive impacts experienced at school.
