Abstract

Due to the increasing necessity of health data digitization, the creation and use of medical information systems is becoming more popular. Our group intents to create a website format system named "Vozes do DNA" (Voices of DNA), partially public and partially private which main objective is collecting, integrating, disseminating, keeping and securing different types of data such as genomic, clinical, sociodemographic, cultural, organizational, psycho-cognitive and ethical-regulatory data. The focus of this project is to promote popular education and the practice of citizen science in Brazil to improve the decision making process informed by evidence and to support information and communication technologies infrastructure (TICs) for the institutional data bank that belongs to our laboratory (LaBGenTT). Based on TIC technologies, we will develop interoperability between all these data categories through already existing tools to allow better accessibility to them. We will utilize the following tools to achieve this goal: The Joomla platform and Python as our programming language. This website will allow free access to every public so that they can engage in the offered workshops and collaborate with the generation of knowledge that will be used as a source for data collection in previous stages of this project. Moreover, the data bank interface will be built as a second step in our work, providing easier access and research properties to all patient records in the laboratory and making sure to make this data anonymous, in agreement to the general brazilian Data Security Law (LGPD). This way, we will deliver a better and more organized work environment for the LaBGenTT researchers as well.
