Abstract

The following project is part of a professional master's project. For this review, the reflection permeates that the understanding of work changes under the influence of society and the economic model. By understanding the functions and needs of man in relation to the role of work in society, his orientation through objectives and purposes, the susceptibility of illness due to different factors and order is a fact. The lack of knowledge about the impact of exhaustive work routines and the improvement options offered by organizations produces an even greater gap in the impacts on vitality. Therefore, absenteeism demands an analysis that considers the interface between the work process and its different components. By recognizing the importance and relationship between these processes, it is possible to plan actions capable of preventing diseases and potential risks and promoting health and care. Therefore, the present study aims to map the reasons for chronic absence from work from the perspective of working people described in the literature. Therefore, this will be a scope review that will be conducted in accordance with JBI guidelines. The guiding question will come from the PCC strategy (population, concept, context), with the guiding question being: What are the reasons for absenteeism from the perspective of workers described in the literature? Searches will be carried out in the following databases: LILACS, Web of Science, Scopus, Embase, CINAHL, PubMed, Google Scholar and ProQuest. The search strategy was developed using Health Sciences Descriptors and the terms Medical Subjects Headings: Absenteeism; Categories of Workers; Perception; Public sector; Private sector; and in conjunction with the Boolean operators OR and AND. Eligibility criteria were established according to the strategy adopted. The EndNote Web bibliographic reference manager and the Rayyan platform will be used in the initial selection phase. Subsequently, the selected articles will be read in full, based on the eligibility criteria, in order to select the articles that will be included in the review. Subsequently, the data of interest will be collected in a systematic and descriptive way.
