Abstract Quantum thermodynamics is an emergent research field aimed at extending the concepts of standard thermodynamics into the quantum regime, offering profound implications for potential quantum technologies, including nano-scale heat machines and quantum processors. This project aims to explore the frontier between standard and quantum theories of thermodynamics, investigating the quantum thermodynamic properties of a macroscopic spin under decoherence. In particular, the dynamics of internal entropy production and its connection with the quantum coherence of the macrospin. | |
