Abstract

This master's project aims to develop the following subprojects of the work plan of the FAPESP/SABESP 2020/12275-8 Innovation for reverse osmosis equipment main proposal:R2B RO plant with recirculation and intermittent waste disposal: construction & comissioning of the plant, operations optimization with surface water sourced from the rowing channel of the University of São Paulo.R2C RO plant with recirculation and intermittent waste disposal: operation with simulated well water.R2E Increased recovery by removing problem compounds from the reject stream. This is a set of subprojects that involve the assembly, commissioning and operations optimization of a closed circuit reverse osmosis pilot plant where the recovery is maximized by recirculation of the reject stream in a closed circuit configuration. The plant will be assembled at the rowing facility of the University of São Paulo campus at the Cidade Universitária in the Butantã neighborhood in São Paulo, Brazil.
