Abstract This work plan for an undergraduate student is within the area of New Materials. The project aims to review and study procedures for transferring chemical vapor deposited (CVD), as well as mechanically exfoliated transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs). Utilizing TMDs with high crystallinity and controlled orientation in photonic chips is an important aspect of the main project. Establishing a protocol for standard procedures to transfer CVD-grown TMDs and characterizing the impacts of the transfer method will enable sample production for all fields within the project. The study will be conducted over a 12-month period. (AU) | |
