Abstract

This project will be devoted to the determination of the classical phase diagram of a two-dimensional frustrated antiferromagnet. In particular, we will concentrate on the honeycomb lattice J1-J2-J3 antiferromagnet Heisenberg model with an additional Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction term between the spins. We intend to determine the classical phase diagram of the system within the so-called Luttinger-Tisza formalism. The main ideia is to introduce the student to the basic concepts of magnetism via this study.
