Abstract

Production scheduling proves to be a crucial point within a manufacturing environment, since from it it is possible to trace different routes for jobs, which can influence the operational efficiency of the production line and the production costs. Therefore, this proposal's main objective is to apply mathematical optimization models to address the flexible job shop problem with no-wait restrictions. In this case, the performance measure used will be the TQCT, as it demonstrates an excellent trade-off between makespan and the total flow time. Thus, this proposal demonstrates an innovative study, since studies with such characteristics were not found (as far as we know). Furthermore, it is expected that this study will provide an applicable approach to improve the efficiency of industrial environments with such specificities. For reducing and accelerating the computational process, an acceleration strategy of Benders Decomposition will be proposed, in order to overcome the theoretical limitations. The results will be verified through computational experiments and statistical test analysis. Finally, it is expected that this type of study will serve as a reference for companies in similar environments to find a way to assist in their production process.
