Abstract

The Master's student will monitor the finishing of Nelore cattle in confinement, as well as the slaughter of these animals, helping to implement good management practices during these stages. The student will monitor the animals' arrival at the feedlot, blood collection and the routine of the finishing period, from the daily handling of feed, weighing, carcass ultrasound, blood collection, slaughter, as well as the collection of meat samples during boning. In addition, the student will be responsible for preparing blood samples for metabolomic analysis, data analysis, writing abstracts and scientific articles for publication in research events and scientific journals.
