Abstract

The process of scientific literacy (SL) is associated with the development of various skills, including establishing relationships between scientific knowledge and various human activities; make use of science processes to solve problems; decide and expand your knowledge of the world; among others.Active learning methodologies can boost the SL process as long as learning situations are provided that encourage reflection, observation and experimentation. Assessments inserted in an active learning context can play an essential role in allowing systematization or expansion of gains, as is the case with the skills previously described. The post-doctoral research presented aims to evaluate the potential contribution of active methodologies associated with learning assessment methodologies to the promotion of scientific literacy in Geography. To achieve this objective, we intend to carry out a systematic review of literature available in databases such as Web of Science, Scopus and ERIC, based on keywords and inclusion and exclusion criteria to be defined. Questions will also be defined that will guide the location and selection of relevant information in the various documents that will constitute the corpus of analysis. It is expected that the review will lead to two articles, one more focused on active methodologies and the other more focused on learning assessment.
