Abstract

Glaucoma is a disease of great relevance as it is the largest cause of irreversible blindness in the world and has several associated complications. In this way, this systematic review seeks, through the analysis and compilation of recent studies, to affirm the psychiatric consequences of the disease manifested in the form of depression, anxiety and changes in the circadian cycle, hoping as a result to deepen knowledge about this relationship, so that health professionals can make use of this knowledge and guarantee complete treatment of patients in their daily practice.
