Abstract

Zinc is a beneficial element for human health and is important for the development of bean crops and is found in low quantities in Brazilian soils. Beans are one of the most consumed foods in Brazil. However, the crop is sensitive to water deficit. This proposal seeks to biofortify the bean crop with Zn using controlled release hydrogels. The aim is to evaluate the accumulated Zn content, macro and micro nutrients, production components and the photosynthetic system.
