Abstract

Through the reading of thoughtfully selected bibliography, this research intends mainly to understand the operation and regulation of embryonic adoption in Brazil, which, in short, consists in one of the possible destinations to the surplus embryos in the conclusion of an in vitro fertilization. As from the constitutional protection to life from its very conception, it will also be explored the other options of destination to these embryos, in order to better understand how they could import, directly or indirectly, on the violation of the national norm. So, as being a matter so needy of debate in the national scientific community, it was considered relevant to its comprehension the divulgation of an anonymous digital questionnaire, with the only purpose to measure the popular knowledge of the theme, and, therefore, better compare literature and practice. With all that, this study aims to demonstrate how the promotion to the embryonic adoption debate in the country is essential to the construction of legal and structure advances on the feasibility of this practice, which, yet still little explored, faces several difficulties to its implementation in the brazilian biolaw field.
