Abstract

Tenuipalpidae is an important family of phytophagous mites and includes several species considered pests in different crops worldwide. In Brazil, most taxonomic studies on this family have been carried out in the southeastern region, and little is known about these organisms in natural and agricultural environments in other regions of the country. Therefore, the present project proposes to study mites from the Tenuipalpidae family in natural and agricultural environments in Brazil, making descriptions of possible new species, and aiming to train human resources in the area of ¿¿Acarology.
