Abstract

Depressive disorder has a significant prevalence in the Brazilian population, and the effects of this mental health condition can impair patients' daily lives. However, there is a gap in access to adequate care for individuals affected by depression symptoms, which impacts the public health system. Among the possibilities for mental health care, technological interventions have shown efficacy in reducing symptoms of certain conditions, using the internet as a facilitator for this access. Considering this, a pilot study using a mobile application, CONEMO, is being conducted to assist individuals with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and insomnia in Primary Health Care Units in Indaiatuba and Jaguariúna - SP, providing journeys aimed at improving these symptoms. The objective of this study, which is a subproject, is to analyze the association between socioeconomic vulnerability variables and the outcome of reducing depressive symptoms among CONEMO users. To participate in the study, users must be 18 years or older and have a score of 10 or higher on the depression scale, the Patient Health Questionnaire - 9 (PHQ-9), in the initial screening, as well as answer a questionnaire about their social vulnerability, including income, employment status, race, and gender. For data analysis, a multiple linear regression using ordinary least squares will be used. The regression will analyze the hypothesis that there is an interaction between vulnerability and the reduction of depressive symptoms with the use of CONEMO after six weeks of use, as well as acceptability, engagement with the intervention, app usability, and adverse events.
