Abstract

The research aims to investigate professional socialization processes of futureteachers, more specifically regarding the circulation of professional teaching knowledgewithin the scope of the supervised teaching practice internship carried out during initialtraining. It is assumed that the existence of professional teaching knowledge in the training offuture teachers presents itself as a core element for the affirmation of their socio-professionaldimension. It can help beginner teachers cope with career abandonment (due to the "realityshock" experienced in the first years) and, more broadly, increase the appeal of undergraduatecourses and students' adherence to them and to their choice for a career in teaching. Theresearch takes a qualitative approach and will be carried out through documentary analysis,with the study of internship reports. The reports, reinforced as a monitoring device for interns,will be analyzed in terms of their training potential, as a resource for recording and reflectingon the internship experiences. Students' records will be searched for elements that indicate thepresence of content linked to professional teaching knowledge and, therefore, more directlylinked to the teaching profession. The analysis of these records will be carried out with regardto their content.
