Abstract The project focuses on pointing out the background relationships between the philosophies of meaning of Jean-Paul Sartre and Roland Barthes, in addition to the intertextual and punctual ones suggested in the critical apparatus of complete Barhesian works and biographies of the latter. Specifically, it aims to point out links, for the time being untouched, between the respective philosophies of the gaze. It is about showing how, in parallel with a radical critique of language, which leads to the verification of the limits of literature, both devices assume an imagining consciousness, productive in and of itself, which constitutes a cognitive instance of its own order. Hence, among other presumed affinities, those to be discovered among the developments of The Camera Lucida and notes on Sartre's historic incursion into the images of Carter Bresson. | |
