Abstract

Personality disorders (PD) represent a significant public health concern worldwide, yet the accurate assessment of pathological traits remains a challenge. The Dimensional Clinical Personality Inventory-2 (IDCP-2) stands as a valuable self-report scale developed in Brazil to measure pathological traits associated with PD. However, its applicability and validity in other cultural settings remain unknown. This project aims to address this gap by translating and culturally adapting the IDCP-2 to Norwegian, verifying its psychometric properties, and establishing norms for its use in Norway. Additionally, the study will investigate measurement invariance between the Brazilian and Norwegian versions of the IDCP-2 to ensure the replicability of its structure across different cultural contexts. Through international collaborations and partnerships, this research seeks to enhance the global utility of the IDCP-2, contributing to improved clinical assessment and research in the field of personality pathology.
