The Thematic Project brings together researchers from different universities in Brazil and abroad and seeks understand the connections between Brazilian institutions and foreign museums and official agencies and the formation of continental networks that were established as a result of these events. The research Geopolitical strategies in the visual arts: the actions of the British Council in Brazil (1950s/1970s), in turn, will examine the role of the United Kingdom in the Cold War chessboard in South America through the analyses of the collective and individual art exhibitions that were organized by the British Council and traveled to Brazil.
