Abstract

INTRODUCTION: According to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), an individual's participation is defined as their level of involvement in daily activities. Cerebral Palsy (CP), as an injury to the Central Nervous System, causes restriction in activities, therefore, it may affect the individual's participation. OBJECTIVE: To identify the participation perspective of adolescents with CP and the positive and negative factors that affect their inclusion and participation. METHODOLOGY: The photovoice methodology will be used, whose principle is to allow people to identify, represent and improve their community and their everyday reality from the use of photographs. There will be 4 meetings: the first one will be to make the teenagers aware of the methodology and present the first theme to be photographed, in the 2nd the photos sent on the first theme will be discussed and the second theme to be photographed will be presented, in the 3rd meeting we will discuss the photos of the second theme and in the 4th meeting, which will be held in a group, we will discuss ways to make the population aware of the inclusion and participation of adolescents with CP. Data analysis will use the Collective Subject Discourse (DSC) method, based on the transcription of speeches previously recorded during meetings. EXPECTED RESULTS: It is expected to understand the perspective of adolescents with CP about their participation and factors that affect their inclusion and accessibility. In addition, offering information to the community and to the field of physical therapy, improving physical therapy interventions aimed at this population.
