Abstract

In applied sciences, it is common to have a general system of governing equations that describe the behavior and development of the dynamical system. But, thisset of equations is derived from conservation laws, positing empirical relations betweenvariables or through asymptotic reductions. Such a problem is also present in complexaeroelasticity analyses. Therefore, considering a two-degrees-of-freedom airfoil model withstructural nonlinearities of hardening type and a nonlinear energy sink device coupled init, which has a cubic stiffness, i.e., another nonlinearity, this project aims to use a dis-crepancy modeling framework to assess higher-order effects in this system. The presentproposal complements the original project's scope (FAPESP #2024/12620-8) and helpsto understand the complexity and reality of the system studied.
