Abstract

Telemedicine plays an essential role in contemporary healthcare, offering innovative solutions to overcome challenges such as limited access, equity and high costs in healthcare systems. Although it has been adopted in several medical areas, its integration into surgical care has been slower. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the urgent need to develop and implement telemedicine to ensure continued access to healthcare. This project proposes a prospective randomized study to investigate patient satisfaction in the postoperative period of minor urological surgeries through telemedicine consultations. The study will involve randomizing 200 patients to face-to-face or telemedicine consultations. Primary outcomes will include patient satisfaction, while secondary outcomes will address postoperative complications, resource use and environmental impact. The scientific initiation student will play a fundamental role in collecting data, evaluating the degree of satisfaction after the patients' post-operative return consultation.
