Abstract

The main goal of this research project is to introduce the student to scientific research and writing. With this in mind, we propose an immersion in the basic ideas of geometric group theory, focusing on topics such as Cayley graphs and group actions, in order to provide the student with a broader understanding of the connections between geometry and algebra.
