Abstract

The concurrent presence of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and acute myocardial infarction (AMI) increases the risk of thrombotic events and worse clinical outcomes. Studies indicate that platelet aggregation is elevated in patients with PAD, which may be related to the severity of the disease. However, there are no studies that have specifically analyzed platelet aggregation in patients with a prior AMI with and without the presence of PAD
