Abstract

The project "Pregnancy in adolescence: experience and possibilities for intervention" proposes a qualitative evaluation of the perigestational period in adolescence and the " Primeiros Laços" home visitation program. The study focuses on pregnant and postpartum adolescents in situations of social vulnerability in Brazil, in the municipalities of São Paulo, Indaiatuba and Jaguariúna. A qualitative approach will be taken to understand the lived experience of the participants, exploring factors that influence engagement in the program and possible dropouts. It also seeks to investigate the relationships between vulnerability, violence and the impacts of teenage pregnancy. Data will be collected through semi-structured interviews with analysis based on Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis.It is intended that the study will contribute to a deeper understanding of the experience and needs of the perigestational period in adolescents in Brazil and also to understanding the role of psychosocial interventions in this context, improving the care practices offered to adolescent mothers in public health in Brazil.
