Abstract

In vitro production of bovine embryos (PIVE) is an important tool inanimal reproduction, with academic and commercial applications and with great relevanceeconomic. Despite its applicability, the efficiency of PIVE is considered limitedwhen compared to the in vivo process. The effect of sperm onembryonic development has already been described, but it is still unclear whether they are thesperm attributes, the individual or the communication of this cell with the environment, whichdirectly impact the rate of blastocysts produced in vitro. The purpose of the presentproject aims to characterize which subpopulation of sperm arrives in the isthmusof the oviduct, as well as metabolically and molecularly characterizing the authors of theoviduct and sperm communication. In set 1 an experiment will be carried outin vivo vs. in vitro. Bovine females will be synchronized and inseminated and slaughtered forcollection of oviducts. Oviductal cells, spermatozoa andrecovered fluid. The same approach will be carried out in vitro, using semen fromsame bull used for insemination, incubated with and without EMEFOs. will bespermatozoa, EMEFOS and the culture medium were analyzed. The hypothesis is that incontact with the maternal environment, the morphological and physiological events that occur insperm cells will facilitate fertilization, increasing the efficiency of the technique.
