Abstract

The purpose of this study is to carry out a field research in the institutions of the CASA Foundation - Esperança and the Restorative Justice Center of Tatuí, in order to understand the main differences and possible similarities between the dynamics of these institutional spaces. And also to explore whether and how these spaces comply with the provisions of the ECA and the IACHR's guidelines for Juvenile Justice in Brazil. Into it, the preliminary aim is to systematize the normative and theoretical criteria identified in the legislation, in national and international recommendations and also in the literature consulted. This material will serve as support for participant observation and for the research records in the field diary. The field research will dialog with the reflections of Bianca Tavolari, seeking to adopt the "spatial turn", in which "space is not considered simply as a backdrop, but as a condition and result of social processes" (in Silva; Rodriguez, 2022, p. 509).
