Abstract

The continuous progress in remote sensing (RS) technologies offers prospects for use in various domains, such as the urban environment, which is characterized by complex data heterogeneity. Urban furniture is described as public areas intended for community support and use in an urban setting. An example of this furniture is bus stops or shelters, which are essential for pedestrian mobility, especially for public transportation users, whose demand is increasing due to population growth. In this context, the project aims to assess the infrastructure conditions of bus stops and their surrounding environment using multimodal data. For this purpose, optical, radar, and atmospheric data will be obtained from the Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, Sentinel-5P, and Planet satellites, along with the application of segmentation and machine learning techniques to address questions about the urban environment.
