Abstract

In this project, we will explore how Floquet engineering can be used to tune realistic heavy fermion systems. We will focus on new platforms that can potentially host Kondo lattices, devoting particular attention to the magic-angle twisted bilayer systems. The goal is to study how choices of light polarization, including unpolarized or partially polarized light, can tune the multichannel behavior of this system and eliminate possible coupling anisotropies. The effects of heating by the external radiation will also be estimated, which naturally leads to the time scales expected for the transient Floquet state to be reached and later destroyed.
