Abstract

Smoking, a condition associated with nicotine addiction, is linked to numerous health complications such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and various types of cancers. In light of these factors, the "INSPIRE Respiratory Health" program was created with the purpose, among others, of implementing smoking cessation initiatives to minimize the impact of tobacco on the population's health. Thus, the objective of this study is to evaluate the results obtained after one year of smoking cessation interventions in adults. To achieve this, individuals who participated in the program will be contacted one year after the initial approach, and a standardized questionnaire will be administered. This questionnaire includes updates on demographic data, smoking history, and the outcomes achieved through smoking cessation efforts. The questionnaire will assess factors of success or failure in smoking cessation, effectiveness of prescribed therapies, changes in smoking habits, and adverse effects during treatment. This research will aim to propose and implement strategies to improve the support provided in initial smoking cessation efforts.
