Abstract The purpose of the present study will be to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of the Chitosan membrane and the Chitosan membrane associated with green tea (Camellia Sinensis) in the periimplant preparation of implants installed in rat tibias without primary stability. Sixty male rats (Rattus novergicus albinos, Wistar) will be divided into 3 groups (n=20). On day 0, the animals will receive an implant (4 x 2 mm - SLA) in the proximal metaphysis of the right and left tibias, where a defect will be created to generate primary instability. The membrane will be added or not to the periimplant gap at the time of surgery. Group CO (n=20): also called control group, in which the animals will receive implants in both tibias and the periimplant space will be filled only with the clot itself. QT group (n=20): The animals will receive implants in both tibias and the periimplant space will be filled with the chitosan membrane. QT+CV group (n=20): The animals will receive implants in both tibias and the periimplant space will be filled with the chitosan membrane associated with green tea (Camellia Sinensis). These will be subdivided into 2 groups of CO (n=10), QT (n=10), QT+CV (n=10), as they will have different euthanasia times, being carried out in the first group at 7 days post-operatively and in the second at 30 days post-operatively. The collected pieces will be processed with demineralization for histochemical, histological, histometric (PTON) and immunohistochemical analyzes for detection of OCN, TRAP and BMP-2/4; and without demineralization for analysis of the area of ¿¿direct bone/implant contact (BIC). After analyzing normality and homoscedasticity, the data will be subjected to the most appropriate tests with a significance of 5% (p¿0.05). | |
