Abstract

Violence is a structural process, therefore, studying it means understanding the social and cultural dynamics of a people. In the meantime, the World Health Organization officially classifies five types of violence: physical, psychological, sexual, negligence and property. In Brazil, violence rates go through historical processes of domination, which is why it was possible to visualize a child, female and black profile in the statistics published by the 2024 Violence Atlas. In order to draw an epidemiological profile of the black population that suffers violence in the municipality of São Carlos, SP, the research will carry out a documentary analysis of the notifications and registration forms sent to the Specialized Listening Center Project. Then, the most frequent variables will be mapped and triangulated with contemporary literature on violence, in order to carry out a critical analysis. These studies may contribute to the elucidation of cases of violence referred to the project and assist in the construction of a concise and transparent database.
