Abstract

The advancement of productivity in cattle farming should be aligned with more defined environmental and social goals. However, livestock systems have been associated with several negative effects, such as deforestation, simplification of landscapes, loss of biodiversity and greenhouse gas emissions. Landscape redesign can contribute to more sustainable agricultural activities, integrating trees with pastures for animal production. The objective of this study will be to evaluate agronomic parameters of multifunctional plants in a forage-based system in different seedling planting orientations (north-south and east-west). The plants evaluated will be Morus nigra (blackberry), Gliricidia sepium (gliricidia) and Tithonia diversifica (titonia). The evaluated parameters are related to plant growth when subjected to rotational grazing simulation.
