Abstract

The growing global interest in sustainable industrial alternatives has driven research into natural sources of bioactive compounds. In this context, Eucalyptus by-product emerge as a rich source of aromatics/phenolic compounds, which exhibit antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties with potential applications in the food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries. This project aims to develop a aromatics/phenolic compound-rich extract,, obtained by the recovery of organic solvent in the downstream stage of the process of obtaining xylooligosaccharides (XOS) from Eucalyptus by-product by hydrothermal pretreatment.. Additionally, the research will assess the antioxidant efficacy of this extract for potential industrial applications, aiming to align sustainability, innovation, and health benefits. The results are expected to promote sustainable practices and expand antioxidant sources for public health.
