Abstract

Acquiring information on removal processes is a research challenge, usually tackled qualitatively - through case-by-case monitoring in the field. A more comprehensive understanding of the scale of eviction processes requires the use of other methods and technologies. This research project aims to advance the construction of a quantitative repertoire on evictions, using secondary data sources, data mining techniques and other state-of-the-art data acquisition resources. These databases will be systematized in a joint review effort with the team of the thematic project to which this research is linked, seeking to list and build databases capable of offering details on evictions, identifying their possibilities, limitations and the techniques needed to maintain and update them.
