Modeling of congenital disease caused by the Zika virus in the central nervous system (CNS) using 2D/3D models. The initial objective, in addition to studying the Zika virus, was expanded to include aspects related to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Abstract

The neurological aspects of the Congenital Syndrome caused by the Zika virus will be modeled and investigated in vitro, using fluorescent and bioluminescent viral strains as well as neural cells derived from iPSCs.
