Abstract

Three sub-projects are described aiming at the development of visible-light mediated transformations of diazo compounds, which involve: i) the chemical edition of organic molecules by single-atom insertion reactions, ii) cyclo-addition reactions employing silyl enol diazo compounds; and iii) the synthesis of beauvericin and its late-stage modifications using diazo compounds. All relevant heterocycles prepared will have their in vitro activity evaluated against P. falciparum and Leishmania spp. aiming at the identification of hit structures for drug candidates
