Abstract

In this master's project, the student will employ the spectroscopic techniques THz-TDS (terahertz time domain spectroscopy) and OPTP (optical pump terahertz probe) to investigate the spectral dependence of the complex optical conductivity (real and imaginary parts) in semiconductor systems (bulk, quantum dots, nanowires and two dimensional). Additionally, studies will be conducted to determine the photoconductivity spectrum of the samples, assessing their electronic transport properties under photoexcitation. The analysis of the spectral dependence of the complex optical conductivity and photoconductivity will be fundamental for obtaining relevant parameters to describe the electronic behavior of these materials. These results may provide essential insights for understanding and optimizing the electronic and optical performance of these systems, enabling their application in advanced optoelectronic devices.
