Abstract

In this project, the student will focus on two main branches of experimental quantum optics. First, they will investigate and implement the construction of deployable sources of photon pairs at Telecom wavelengths for implementation in quantum communication networks. Second, they will investigate and possibly develop techniques for encoding and reading quantum information using temporal modes of light, aiming to implementations of robust high-dimensional quantum key distribution applications. The student will assume the role of the PhD1 described in the StruQT proposal, as approved by FAPESP.
