Abstract

In this scientific initiation project, we will develop a function generator operating between 100 kHz and 200 MHz. This device consists of a microcontroller coupled to a DDS (Direct digital synthesizer) with four independent outputs, each with arbitrary frequency, amplitude, and phase. Different values will be programmed in the microcontroller internal memory and synchronously updated with an external clock that defines the temporal sequence of the main experiment. The device will be implemented in experiments with trapped ions.
