Abstract

Rhinotragini Thomson, 1861 is a mimetic tribe of exclusively American wasps that has an inconsistent classification of its genera, such as "Chariergodes" Zajciw, 1963, which, like the others, was classified based entirely on traditional taxonomy, through the analysis and comparison of morphological characters. With this in mind, the tribe Rhinotragini (Cerambycidae) will be investigated by carrying out a taxonomic revision of the genus "Chariergodes" and by comparative genomic analysis of specimens of "Ecliptoides eunomia". The taxonomic revision will be carried out using a cladistic analysis of 26 species belonging to 20 genera. In the genomic analysis, the GBS (Genotyping-by-Sequencing) technique will be used on individuals of "E. eunomia" from two different phytophysiognomies in the municipality of Bauru, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, with the aim of analyzing the existence of genetic variation in the populations sampled, as well as measuring genetic differentiation and inferring demographic and migratory scenarios. Thus, by combining the use of GBS, which has proven to be an excellent tool in population genomic studies, and the taxonomic revision of the problematic genus "Chariergodes", the results of this project will contribute to understanding evolutionary aspects and the classification of the tribe Rhinotragini.
