Abstract

This proposal is part of the ongoing doctoral research "Collective ownership and self-management of housing in Latin America: contemporary challenges and horizons". The main objective of the research internship abroad is to deepen the study of the international literature on commons, self-management, autonomy and property, in order to support the analysis of the Latin American experiences of housing cooperatives and community land trusts. This will allow a theoretical-analytical advancement of the work, at a stage immediately prior to the preparation of the thesis. The internship abroad will also provide an opportunity for exchanges with foreign researchers, which can contribute to generate links between Latin American experiences studied by the project and global dynamics, and to situate Latin American processes within international housing debates.
