Abstract

We propose a novel approach to explain the baryon asymmetry of the Universe based on spontaneous baryogenesis. Our research focuses on investigating extensions to the Standard Model that break spontaneously some effective $U(1)_x$symmetries together higher dimensional operators that break the baryon minus lepton $(B-L)$ symmetry. The resulting Pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone bosons (PNGBs) induce CPT violation through the derivative coupling to the associated current, allowing for baryon asymmetry generation through in-equilibrium (B-L)-violating interactions. We will explore the potential consequences of these interactions on the dark matter production and associated phenomena like proton decay, neutrinoless double beta decay and neutron-antineutron oscillation which both violate B-L.
