Abstract

The cultural dimension plays a central role in the dynamics of entrepreneurial ecosystems, profoundly influencing individual and organizational behaviors. In the context of sustainable transitions, it is crucial to understand how cultural elements can support practices aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), driving structural changes toward sustainability. This research project aims to investigate how cultural factors within entrepreneurial ecosystems can foster the SDGs, exploring dynamics and configurations that support sustainable entrepreneurial practices. The methodology combines Machine Learning (ML) techniques and Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) methods, applied to data collected from entrepreneurs participating in the FAPESP Innovative Research in Small Businesses program (PIPE-FAPESP) and through interviews with experts. ML algorithms will be used to identify patterns and complex causal relationships between cultural factors within the ecosystem and the SDGs, while the Fuzzy Topsis Class analysis will provide insights into specific cultural impacts on sustainability outcomes. The expected results include identifying cultural configurations that promote the SDGs and practical guidelines for public policies and organizational strategies. This work contributes to expanding the understanding of the relationship between entrepreneurial culture and sustainability, highlighting the importance of innovative practices in transitioning entrepreneurial ecosystems toward sustainable development.
