Abstract

This research analyzes the production, creation, and execution of costumes developed by Sonia Ushiyama, a costume designer active in the Cia. Teat(r)o Oficina Uzyna Uzona. Through an initial portrait of the designer's artistic trajectory, the work investigates the process of creation and execution of 25 costumes developed for the plays A Luta I (2005), from the Os Sertões Cycle, Macumba Antropófaga (2011), and O Bailado do Deus Morto (2020) by the Cia. Teat(r)o Oficina Uzyna Uzona. The theoretical foundation is supported by VIANA and PEREIRA (2021), LIGIÉRO (2011 and 2019), LOPES and GRECCO (2011), and LOPES and COHN (2008).
