Abstract

This research aims to analyze the process of school adaptation of deaf children in Early Childhood Education, from the perspective of hearing families. The investigation aims to describe the challenges faced during this period, identify the feelings experienced by families and evaluate the services and transformations offered by schools to ensure the inclusion of these students. To this end, a study characterized as descriptive will be adopted, using semi-structured interviews with guardians of deaf children between 0 and 6 years old, enrolled in Early Childhood Education for less than a year. Data analysis will be carried out based on categories extracted from the research instrument itself. The results are expected to help understand the role of the school and family in this adaptation process, showing the importance of inclusive practices and collaboration between both for the development of deaf children. Therefore, the research can offer contributions to improve educational policies aimed at Early Childhood Education and the inclusion of deaf students in the educational environment.
