Abstract

With the empirical findings from Rafael Albano's investigations on the "Nerd Sedutor"channel on YouTube and in his course "Assunto Infinito", which identify his beliefs and doxasabout masculinity and love in Scientific Initiation (SI), this master's project aims to expandthe analysis of brazilian video producers focused on the "pickup art". Thus, we propose to investigate CauêNespoli and his channel "Manual do Homem," the largest female seduction channel with thehighest number of subscribers and views on YouTube.For this investigation, we will maintain the methodology used in the SI, conducting ananalysis of the agent's trajectory, digital ethnography, content analysis, and discourseanalysis. Continuing with the same methodology will allow for a broader interpretation ofmasculinist groups on YouTube. This consistency supports the comparison of data betweenRafael Albano and Cauê Nespoli, in addition to contributing to the understanding of disputesover social space and the hegemony of beliefs and doxas about love and masculinity amongmale audiences.
