Abstract

We aim on this project to map and describe the labour situations of indigenous women, children, men, and elderly people living in urban areas in the Amazon in the 18th century, using an array of documentation (legislation, legal-administrative documentation, period reports, inquisitorial documentation, etc.). The objective is to deepen our understanding of the daily lives of urban indigenous people and the world of labour in the Amazon region.
