Abstract

In the postdoctoral research associated with this project (process no. 2023/06358-6), it has been observed that cinema produced in the Amazon presents characteristics that mark a plural identity, as I have been following for the ethnobiographical production of the filmmakers chosen for this study. Taking into account the expertise of the interlocutors, the goal is to create an ethnographic film based on Shared Anthropology, that is, in a collaborative way and in dialogue with the technical and aesthetic knowledge of the directors under study. In this Research Internship Abroad project, to be developed at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in the Department of Anthropology, the fellow aims to deepen their theoretical-methodological knowledge on the production of ethnographic films, with the intention of contributing to the creation of the documentary that will be produced as a result of this study. The project also includes the fellow's participation in activities at CRIA (Center for Networked Research in Anthropology) and the Visual Anthropology Laboratory, where they will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with contemporary trends in ethnographic cinema, which will serve as a reference for the production of their own documentary film.
